Natalia Solberg is a communications professional specialising in writing, story-gathering and multimedia content production. She has ten years’ experience in the NGO sector, across international development, humanitarian response, women’s rights and child protection.

Documentary storytelling
Natalia sees documentary storytelling as a tool for empathy. Her experience in ethical content-gathering within the charity sector combined with her knowledge of the art of making documentary films, means she brings a creative, story-led approach to issue-based content, to create powerful stories that open eyes, change perspectives and raise funds.

Serving multiple stakeholders
Accustomed to delivering content needs for multiple stakeholders, she is skilled at gathering, editing and delivering audience-focused content tailored for objective, device and channel. With extensive experience in digital content production and marketing, she is familiar with content requirements for different formats, channels, calls to action and user journeys. She also has experience developing and embedding brand guidelines, training colleagues in brand tone of voice, and providing editorial support services.

Content gathering & emergency response
Natalia has managed content-gathering assignments in the UK and across Europe, Africa, Asia and Latin America, including Romania, Kenya, Malawi, Nigeria, Uganda, Haiti, Yemen, India and Bangladesh. She is highly experienced at working with local staff and project partners and interviewing people in vulnerable situations, such as survivors of sexual violence and natural disasters. She has worked on over ten emergency appeals – including the Nepal Earthquakes (2014), Hurricane Matthew (2016), Rohingya Refugee Crisis (2017), East Africa Food Crisis (2017), Coronavirus Crisis (2020), and Ukraine Crisis (2022) – and is a trained emergency communications responder.
